Through massage, I activate the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) to assist in relaxing the body after periods of stress or danger. When the PSNS is activated, heart and breathing rates slow and blood pressure lowers. The body enters a state of relaxation.
Relaxation fosters healing.
The more time we spend in a PSNS state, the healthier we are.
