Tools of the Trade

Thumbs, Knuckles, and Elbows, Oh My!

Therapist performing elbow massage on man's back.

Aside from the obvious thumbs, knuckles, elbows, and forearms, there are a few other tools of the trade I like to incorporate into your session. They each have benefits that may enhance your massage and are generally safe for most clients.

Eye Pillows

A circle of folded fabric pieces with nautical and ocean-themed prints.

I love to use organic flax seed eye pillows to help you reach that ultimate state of relaxation during your massage. Available in rosemary lavender or eucalyptus peppermint.

Love them? Let me know and I can have one ready for you to take home today!

Hot Towels

Stack of white rolled towels with steam in the background.

Hot Towels gently warm your skin, soothe achy joints, and aid in helping muscles release during your massage.

Oils & Creams

Lavender essential oils and bath salts arranged for relaxation.

I use high-quality oils and creams that simultaneously nourish & moisturize your skin while offering superb glide without leaving you feeling greasy. Be sure to let me know if you have any skin or scent sensitivities.

Hot Stones

Stacked black stones on soap with a lit black candle beside it.

I use only natural basalt stones heated up to 140°F. Hot stones are deeply relaxing while also being super effective at releasing muscle tension and providing temporary relief from chronic pain.

Silicone Cups

Silicone cups are applied to the skin using suction to create a gentle vacuum. This process draws the skin upward to break down tissue restrictions, boost blood flow, and accelerate healing. I offer three distinct cupping methods tailored to your needs:

Static Cupping - The traditional, focused approach where cups are positioned on specific areas and left in place. This method is highly effective for targeting deep restrictions and intensely stimulating localized blood flow.

Dynamic Cupping - A technique that combines suction with movement. The cups move across different muscle groups to strip fascial tissue, relieve tension, and promote myofascial release.

Cupping with Movement - This method puts your muscles into action. A cup is positioned on a specific target area while you actively move that muscle through its natural range of motion, helping to restore flexibility and function.

Essential oils

Essential oils are natural oils obtained through a distilling process. They can be used to help improve sleep, boost your mood, aid digestion, reduce stress, support immunity…and so much more!
