Tools of the Trade

Thumbs, Knuckles, and Elbows, Oh My!

Aside from the obvious thumbs, knuckles, elbows, and forearms, there are a few other tools of the trade I like to incorporate into your session. They each have benefits that may enhance your massage and are generally safe for most clients.

Eye Pillows

I love to use organic flax seed eye pillows to help you reach that ultimate state of relaxation during your massage. Available in rosemary lavender or eucalyptus peppermint.

Love them? Let me know and I can have one ready for you to take home today!

Hot Towels

Hot Towels gently warm your skin, soothe achy joints, and aid in helping muscles release during your massage

Oils & Creams

I use high-quality oils and creams that simultaneously nourish & moisturize your skin while offering superb glide without leaving you feeling greasy. Be sure to let me know if you have any skin sensitivities.

Hot Stones

I use only natural basalt stones heated up to 140°F. Hot stones are deeply relaxing while also being super effective at releasing muscle tension and providing temporary relief from chronic pain.

Silicone Cups

Silicone “cups” are applied to your skin with a suction pressure that draws your skin up to break down restrictions in that specific area. I use these cups in three ways:

Static cupping, the cup is applied to an area and left in place briefly.

Dynamic cupping is used with oil or cream to allow the cup(s) to move across your skin.

Cupping with Movement puts your muscles into action. A cup is positioned onto a specific area while your muscle moves through its action/motion, helping to improve blood flow and healing.

Essential oils

Essential oils are natural oils obtained through a distilling process. They can be used to help improve sleep, boost your mood, aid digestion, reduce stress, support immunity…and so much more!
