And I‘m not your average massage therapist. I‘m a girl who grew up around the world with the U.S. Navy. In my experiences living around the globe, I learned a few things about people…and their bodies.
First, we are all the same.
Second, we are all different.
I know. I know. It sounds conflicting. But, if you stop and think about it for a minute…Every single one of us is a combination of similar parts yet, every single one of us has a different combination.
When you come to Seva Bodywork, you are more than a client with a tight muscle. You are a wonderful, complex combination of soft tissue, sensory receptors, and life experiences. And massage can bring about real change. In real time. For real people.
I worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse for more than 20 years before switching gears and completing the professional licensing program at Port Townsend School of Massage.
As a trauma-qualified LMT, I love that my education & experience as an advocate has become the foundation for my work as a massage practitioner. By incorporating multiple modalities into each session I am able to help you release tension without being invasive, using a firm touch to “melt” tissues rather than forcing them through excessive pressure (which can be counter-productive).
I strive to create a safe, nurturing practice with space for healing.
By focusing on your comfort and relaxation, we can work toward deep tissue results with minimal discomfort.
I‘m always reading, training, and learning new modalities and techniques that keep my work current and expand my ability to provide you with truly comprehensive massage therapy.
I also receive regular massage from licensed massage therapists in our community and maintain an active referral list if I feel your needs are beyond my expertise.
Thank you for trusting me with your muscles! Click the link to verify my credentials (as well as those of every other licensed massage therapist in Washington state). If your provider does not appear in your search…proceed with caution.
